Yesterday Cumulus released General Manager Michael Damsky from his duties at WLS in Chicago. Damsky has over three decades in the business and was neither surprised or upset over being let go. He was brought into WLS by Citadel as the D.O.S. in 2008 and made GM in 2010. When you've been around as long as Damsky has, you get to witness quite a bit. We had a chance to talk to Damsky last night about his time in the business, what he wants to do next, the Portable People Meter, whether radio plays too many commercials and how he sees the business playing out over the next five years. Here's our interview.
