WFAN host Craig Carton (pictured) called former Tiger Woods coach Hank Haney "scum of the earth" and "a horrible human being" when interviewing him about his new book last week. Carton is one half of the Boomer and Carton show he hosts on WFAN with Boomer Esiason. Carton defended Woods for several minutes and eventually during the long tirade, Haney simply hung up.

This is one of the most disgusting commentaries I've been exposed to in the world of sport talk radio, and having been on the management team of the nations 4th sports talk station I've heard my share jock rants.
If these two air folks can't find better ways to convey their thoughts they need to find a new line of work. On the management side, their boss needs to have a "come to Jesus" meeting with these two - because their approach to getting noticed has become old hat and an entertainment turn-off.
As for the accusation that Wood's coach made money off Tiger - isn't that exactly what Carton and Esiason do with all sports celebrities on a daily basis? These two are hypocrites at the highest level.
The audio demonstrates nothing more than pitifully poor radio.
