We love to keep an eye on the automotive category because so much of your business comes from that car dealer on the corner. And despite high gas prices the automotive industry recovery has accelerated into the fast lane. Americans purchased 1.4 million cars and trucks last month which is a 13% increase over March 2011. It was the best month since 2007. GM, Chrysler and Toyota reported double-digit gains. Nissan and Hyundai set sales records. If car sales continue at the March rate, 2012 would end the with 14.4 million units sold, up from 12.8 million in 2011. We have links to more stories covering the auto boom below.
