John Rowland announced his last show was yesterday on WITC-AM in Hartford, where he hosted afternoons. Rowland was identified Monday in federal court as a co-conspirator in an alleged campaign financing scheme. WTIC PD Jenneen Lee told The Hartford Courant, "We accept Mr. Rowland's decision to step down at this time. Pastor Will will take over the 3 to 6 p.m. show beginning on Monday." Businessman Brian Foley and his wife admitted in federal court they used a sham consulting contract with Rowland to secretly pay him for political assistance to her 2012 campaign.
