NPR Fires Juan Williams Over Remarks On O'Reilly

NPR has ended its long-running relationship with analyst Juan Williams over remarks he made to Bill O'Reilly on Fox News. Williams said he is "worried" when he sees people in Muslim dress get on a plane. In firing him, NPR said Williams' comments were "inconsistent with our editorial standards."

Broadcast Veteran Martin Beck Passes

Martin Beck, who launched Beck-Ross Communications and served as its head for 28 years, has died at age 93. Beck also spent many years with the Katz Agency and served as president of Katz Radio, chaired the NAB Radio Board and served on the board of the Broadcasters Foundation.
