There are free social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, and many stations use them, but there are also more costly audio and video streaming services, e-mail databases, and texting platforms. Managers often find themselves with too many choices and unilaterally decide they don't have time to manage them all, so they ultimately don't put forth the effort to develop them at all.
