Today would have been the day market managers in Tampa received their ratings from Nielsen. That's not going to happen. Nielsen has rescheduled the release of the data because the ratings firm is looking into the possibility those ratings may have been tampered with. Stations were told the delay is "to allow for completion of additional quality assurance steps." And by now everyone knows the target of that investigation is Todd Clem, also known as Bubba The Love Sponge. Bubba is syndicated on Beasley's WHFS-FM (98.7) in Tampa. He was not live Monday and he's not expected to be live today. After Clem was injured from a fall, his network let stations know they would be airing "best of" programs. It's hard to know for sure if he's conveniently stayed off the air until this is sorted out or if he's too injured to get back to work.
