Latin pop singer Katherine Alexander has accused SBS Executive Vice President of Programming Jesus Salas of sexual assault and withholding compensation from her. A new lawsuit alleges Salas threatened and sexually assaulted her when she no longer wanted to work with him. SBS is defending Salas and a full response to the lawsuit is expected from the company today. Late last night Salas denied any wrongdoing, stating the claims were false and this brief statement was released by the company. "On Tuesday afternoon a full and detailed response to these baseless and entirely false claims will be presented. The testimony of mutual friends and the actual written words of Ms. Alexander will demonstrate beyond doubt that Jesus Salas is innocent of each and every one of these slanderous and malicious claims. Each and every one. False. Malicious." Salas currently oversees SBS stations in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, San Francisco and Puerto Rico.
