That's how the Elkhart Truth Newspaper describes Bill Darwin who passed away at age of 80, Wednesday. Darwin was the voice of morning radio in Northern Indiana for more than 40 years. He retired from radio in August 2009 after 42 years with WTRC. Federated Media owns WTRC. President John Dille told the paper, "For years, Darwin was the voice of Elkhart, along with Allen Strike and Jack Lorri." Lorri added "Bill was the kind of guy where people just drew to him. He was the first thing you heard in the morning when WTRC was a great personality radio station."
