On Thursday The FCC voted in favor of advancing a proposal that could reshape the way consumers experience the Internet. It's possible, if approved, Internet service providers could charge Web sites for higher-quality delivery of their content. (READ THE NPRM HERE). Telecom companies would not be permitted to block any website. Critics worry that this would end net neutrality, which says all content should be treated equally by Internet service providers. The vote to approve was 3-2. There are now 120 days to comment.
