It didn't take long for SummitMedia to find a replacement for David DuBose in Birmingham, who seemed to have left the company abruptly. Greg Reed has been hired as the new Vice President/General Manager. Reed began his radio career in Philadelphia as an AE for CBS Radio and went on to team up with George Beasley to form Beasley-Reed Broadcasting with the purchase of what was then 96X (WCJX 96.3) in Miami.
Reed said, ?I am very excited to be working with the outstanding team Summit Media/Birmingham has assembled. I am particularly happy to be reunited with Summit Media Senior Vice President/Programming Bill Tanner and to work with CEO Carl Parmer. We all share years of experience and similar operating philosophies which should serve us well.?
