Arbitron, SBS Sign Settlement Agreement

Arbitron and Spanish Broadcasting System have come to a settlement agreement, under which SBS will resume encoding in all of SBS's PPM markets. SBS has also extended its deal with Arbitron for PPM ratings. Arbitron President/CEO Bill Kerr said, "SBS is a valued client, and we look forward to growing our relationship, and moving forward together in a productive and meaningful way." Tech Summit Begins Today

Today is opening day of the first Radio Ink Radio Tech Summit. The lineup, put together by Radio Ink Technology Editor Skip Pizzi, kicks off with a keynote from Radio Futurologist James Cridland of Not At All Bad Ltd., followed by panels on the future of radio, the HD Radio power-up, and much more. The summit will be held today and Thursday at the Microsoft Silicon Valley Campus, and is immediately followed by Radio Ink's highly anticipated annual Convergence conference.
