Arbitron Reworks Executive Team

Arbitron has made a number of changes to its executive team, moving CFO Sean Creamer to the newly created post of EVP/U.S. media services while EVP/Chief Legal Officer Tim Smith takes an expanded role as EVP/business development and strategy. Scott Henry, meanwhile, becomes EVP/Technology Solutions while SVPs Carol Hanley and Marilou Legge take new executive VP roles. With the changes, EVP/Chief Marketing Officer Alton Adams and EVP/Customer Solutions Robert Henrick exit.

Peter Walker is named to the newly created post of president of Univision Local Media as Univision Communications realigns its local TV, Univision Radio, and local interactive properties into a single division. Walker comes in from investment firm Auvergne Holdings and before that spent 17 years with Tribune Co.

Jeff Apodaca joins Entravision/Albuquerque as VP/GM, overseeing radio and TV in the market. Apodaca was most recently director of interactive strategy and partnerships for Tribune.

Dillon To Station Manager At Mainline/Richmond

Dave Dillon joins Main Line Broadcasting as station manager for the Richmond cluster, overseeing programming and operations for WWLB, WBBT, WARV, and WLFV.

Broadcasters Foundation Adds To Board

After meeting in New York this week, the board of the Broadcasters Foundation of America adds four new members, including Cox Media Group President Sanford Schwartz.

With the announcement Wednesday that Mark Mays will step down at the end of the year as Clear Channel's president and CEO, an SEC filing reveals his new employment agreement. The contract keeps Mays in place as CEO until a replacement is found, and as chairman through July 2013.

YouTube Beats Viacom In Court

YouTube owner Google has won its motion for summary judgment in a copyright case filed against it by Viacom over alleged copyright infringement. The judge ruled that because it took down copyrighted material when requested, YouTube is not liable for infringement.
