Study: Radio Catches Consumers As They're Ready To Shop

A study by Nielsen and the Council for Research Excellence found that 62 percent of consumers hear the radio just before shopping, compared to 42 percent who are exposed to TV before hitting the stores.

Michael Osterhout Dies At 61

Mike Osterhout, the Tampa radio veteran who served as GM and owner of WRBQ (Q105) and most recently as COO of Morris Communications' MCC Radio division, has died at age 61.

KINK Holds Auction For Oregon Food Bank

Alpha's KINK/Portland, OR, is set to hold an online auction Tuesday with such items as a signed Neil Young poster and a toy piano signed by Jamie Cullum to benefit the Oregon Food Bank. The auction is tied in with the annual Waterfront Blues Festival.
