FCC Proposes Hefty Fine To IN Station
Jul 23rd 2015, 23:01
Larko Communications has been slapped with a proposed $15,000 penalty by the FCC for some violations that took place with WMYQ/South Whitley, IN after the company's owner and sole full-time employee Christopher Larko became seriously ill and subsequently passed away a few years ago. The public file was not properly maintained with at least nine quarterly lists missing starting in the fourth quarter of 2009, plus the station went dark for an extended period (ten months in 2011-2012) without prior permission.
