Former Chicago radio host Wali Muhammed has passed away. He suffered a fall in his home a few months back, causing him to have traumatic brain damage, which resulted in him living on life-support systems while in a coma. Last week, Muhammad passed away at the age of 67. Muhammad was a DJ on WVAZ in the 1980s and 1990s, heard on weekends, evenings, and middays. In the early 2000's Muhammed became a regular contributor to WSRB, joining the station full-time as afternoon host in 2004. He also was heard on far south-suburban WVLI.
