The Milwaukee Business Journal says Mayor Tom Barrett often criticizes Milwaukee's conservative talk radio hosts. He says he made a conscious decision to turn off talk radio back in 2009. At a business lunch this week Barrett said, "I thought, For my mental health, I'm going to turn it down. There are people who love to hate the city. I'm ignoring them because there are more good things going on in this city than in any city in this state." Barrett, a Democrat, is running for re-election.
