Perahps a creative idea for you to steal. Spotify has unveiled a feature called 'Found Them First,' which shows listeners how they played a role in helping to discover new artists. Listeners visit the Found Them First microsite to reveal the artists they've helped make popular, as well as share a personalized playlist of the musicians' tracks with their social networks. Found Them First gives users the chance to see which breakout artists they've helped discover, the first date they listened to a new artist, and reveals a Spotify-generated, customized playlist of other similar breakout artists. The top 1-15% of listeners are considered "early listeners" and will be able to see this ranking.
