The new 56-year-old Cumulus CEO has been on the Cumulus Board of Directors since May. She doesn't come from the radio industry but does have extensive media experience, mainly on the print side. Up until 2012 she was President and CEO MPA – the Association of Magazine Media, which is the industry association for magazine media companies. And from 2007-2011, Berner was CEO of Reader's Digest. Prior to Reader's Digest, she was CEO of Fairchild Publications. Berner has led some very recognizable brands such as Glamour, TV Guide, W, Women's Wear Daily, Every Day with Rachael Ray, and Allrecipes.com. In 2004, Advertising Age named Berner "Publishing Executive of the Year."
