KGSR will be donating $60,000 in proceeds from KGSR?s Broadcast?s Volume 21 CD towards construction of the Seton Healthcare Family's new $295 million, 211-bed teaching hospital which will be named Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas. KGSR VP and Market Manager Scott Gillmore and KGSR Afternoon Drive Host Andy Langer will presented the check to Executive Director of the Seton Fund Charley Scarborough and Development Director of the Seton Fund Chris Attal. The donation completes a $100,000 commitment that Emmis Austin made.
KGSR?s Broadcasts Volume 21 was released on November 29, 2013, as a limited edition double disc including 36 songs recorded over the past year in the KGSR Music Lounge, backstage at the ACL Music Festival, The KGSR SXSW Broadcast, and various other live venues throughout Austin.
This latest compilation featured The Lumineers, Snow Patrol, Fitz & The Tantrums, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Atlas Genius, Bob Schneider, Gary Clark Jr., and more.
