According to Nielsen Music, retailers sold 259,000 vinyl records the week of Black Friday. It was the second-best week for vinyl sales since Nielsen started tracking music sales in 1991. The biggest sales week for vinyl is the week ending April 20 of this year when Nielsen Music tracked 369,000 vinyl album sales. Sales of vinyl albums have already exceeded 7.6 million this year, surpassing last year?s 6.1 million sold.
