Judge Dismisses Most Claims Against Oregon Station

1-5-15
Ron Kramer was the director of Jefferson Public Radio in Oregon for 37 years before he was fired in 2012. Seven months after being let go he filed a lawsuit against Southern Oregon University, the Oregon University System, the former University president, and the statewide chancellor. Kramer claimed former SOU President Mary Cullinan and former OUS Chancellor George Pernsteiner, engaged in blacklisting, violated his civil rights, and breached his employment agreement with SOU. The judge ruled the claims lacked merit and dismissed four of Kramer's allegations. The judge did rule that Cullinan violated Kramer's 14th ammendment rights, his right to due process, which is being appealed.
