Joyce Lamont has been recognized as the first woman to go on the air at Minnesota powerhouse WCCO. Lamont died Sunday. Hired as a copywriter, Lamont eventually hosted a show with Bob DeHaven where they grabbed big ratings and Lamont became famous for her recipes. She was fired from WCCO in the 80's and took a job at KLBB where she worked into her 80's. Lamont was inducted into the Minnesota Broadcasting Hall of Fame in 2001 and retired in 2003.
