David Jackson, a longtime newsman with CBS Radio, passed away from cancer at the age of 70. He had joined CBS Radio in 1972 as a news writer, becoming a reporter and correspondent in 1976. Jackson exited CBS Radio in 1999. A second generation radio news reporter, his father Allan Jackson worked for CBS News as an anchor/reporter from the 1940s through the 1970s.
