Digital Media Merger and Acquisition Surges

Merger and Acquisition deal values were up nearly 50 percent in 2014 compared with 2013. Media Post is reporting deal values in digital media, information and technology rose 48 percent last year. Merger and Acquisition deals rose to 224 billion dollars in 2014 from 151 billion in 2013, according to a report from Coady Diemar Partners.
The most active sectors were agency and marketing, information and digital content with mobile, digital content and information, each accounting for between 17.8 percent and 15 percent of the total. Merger and Acquisition activity in the advertising tech sector was extremely active, with 100 Merger and Acquisition transactions, with a value of 7.5 billion dollars, more than 3 times the value of deals in 2013.
