Is WTIC-AM Hartford Being Investigated For Payola?

10-18-14

Following the conviction of former Connecticut Governor John Rowland on campaign fraud charges, CTNOW is reporting that the station, CBS' WTIC-AM, where Rowland last worked, has had its license renewal delayed following a payola complaint. Rowland quit hosting his show back in April when the fraud issues first surfaced. Market Manager Suzanne McDonald is quoted in the paper saying that the license renewal has been delayed but that she has not been given an explanation as to why.
