Kate Briquelet of the New York Post reports that there is an invasion of pirate radio stations in Brooklyn that listeners have to battle with. Briquelet writes there are "Caribbean, Hebrew and shock-jock stations hijacking the airwaves." She says 25 according to the FCC 25 percent of the nation?s pirate stations are in New York City. Ike Hull of Sunset Park tracks pirates with a live Twitter feed, @BkPirateWatch. Hull tells Briquelet, ?I?m fascinated by the pirates. Especially .?.?. their ability to get support from advertisers who .?.?. don?t care that they?re advertising on illegal stations.
