Wednesday's House Judiciary Committee panel saw the FCC's Tom Wheeler under the microscope again and defending Net Neutrality. Texas Republican Congressman Louie Gohmert chastised the FCC Chairman for "playing God with the Internet."
Gohmert accused the ruling of cutting off ISPs' ability to create new ways to make money. Gohmert said, "Before the FCC came in, everybody could explore new business models. You're playing God with the Internet ... That's not your job." Referring to the Congressional Charter, Gohmert continued, "Congress wasn't asking you to take over the Internet."
