Did Vector Capital Purchase Triton From Oaktree?

3-11-15

The rumors that Triton Digital was going to be sold have been swirling for months now and thanks to tip from one of our subscribers we see that a press release this week announcing Vector's purchase of a company called ChyronHego, Vector includes Triton as one of its assets. Vector Capital is a private equity firm focused on established technology businesses. The two big questions now are when will an official announcement be made and how many layoffs will there be. Vector says it is invested in Aladdin Knowledge Systems, Allegro Development, Cambium Networks, Certara, CollabNet, Corel, IPVALUE Management, LANDesk Software, Niku, Gerber Scientific, RAE Systems, Register.com, Saba, SafeNet, Technicolor, Teletrac, Tidel, Triton Digital, WatchGuard Technologies and WinZip.

From TT today- As many as 50 people may be out at Triton Digital.
The cuts apparently just happened, and may explain yesterday’s hurried release of the January rankers for online audio, just six days after we got December. This NOW Newsletter hears that President/CEO Neal Schore has been off the scene at Triton Digital for several weeks, and that COO Mike Agovino left more recently, perhaps this week.
