The ad-supported streamer StationDigital announced it's enhancing the software with upgrades including integration with Facebook, along with automated playlists based on artists, decades, or genres. StationDigital is also announcing that a subscription-based service is set to be announced later this year.
Like other streamers, STLToday reports that StationDigital is having trouble turning an ad-based streaming business model into a moneymaker. The company posted a net loss of $7.1 million for the first nine months of 2014. That compares to a loss of $964,127 a year earlier.
