Jeff Crawford, program director and PM Drive host for WDGG in Ashland, Kentucky, has died at the age of 55. Known to his listeners on-air as "The Crawdawg," he had been absent from his afternoon shift since mid-January of last year, but was still taking to the mic for an occasional weekend gig, the Herald Dispatch reports. Kindred Communications President Mike Kirtner noted, "We opened up the phone lines to let people call in and talk (about Crawford). The audience was loyal to Crawford and he had a personal relationship with the listeners."
