Crusham To Retire After 44 Years

11-14-14

Mike Crusham spent nearly four-and-a-half decades in the radio business, starting as a sports reporter on WMKY at Morehead State University. Since 2007, he has been the market president for iHeartMedia in Minneapolis. Crushman says the past nine years at iHeartMedia have been some of his most successful and gratifying years in the business. "I have had a tremendous team and company that has been supportive and instrumental in setting me up to win. I've worked hard and had a blast while doing it. I will miss the job and the people tremendously. However, it is time for me to do something different. iHeartMedia Minneapolis has great brands and stations, combined with a brilliant staff."

Throughout his career, Crushman has been a general manager, sales manager at stations in Kentucky, Tulsa, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Austin, and Houston. He joined iHeartMedia in June 2005, first as director of sales for the Miami cluster, and was later named regional vice president of South Florida and market manager for Miami. In 2006 he was named market president for iHeartMedia Boston, and after 10 months headed to Minneapolis where he has served as marked president since.
