CBS Radio Revenue Drops 7%


Overall CBS revenue declined in the first quarter from $3.57 billion in 2014 to $3.5 billion ths year. The company said the quarter was affected by the broadcast of one fewer NFL playoff game on CBS TV and lower ad revenues at the company's local broadcasting segment. Local broadcasting revenue of $596 million for the quarter decreased 5 percent from $626 million in 2014. The biggest declines came from the entertainment and retail industries. CBS TV station revenue was down 3 percent, and radio revenue decreased 7 percent.
