WPLJ/New York morning show co-host Jayde Donovan launched the Apple-a-Day program in 2011 with the hope of brightening the days of pediatric cancer patients, surprising them with new Apple iPads. Over 200 children with cancer have already received these gifts since the launch. This month, Donovan surprised a different pediatric cancer patient in the tri-state area with a new iPad each day on her morning show. The month culminated with an "iPad Party" in Time Square, where 20 children received tablets.
