BBC Nixes Windows Streaming


In a move to streamline its digital radio service as part of its Audio Factory project, the BBC has removed Windows streaming from its service, but not without some controversy. Moving towards the Mpeg Dash audio streaming standard, approximately 5 percent of the BBC's Internet radio listeners still use Windows Media, including many blind and visually impaired listeners.
