Ad Growth Rate Slows in 2014

It turns out that the growth rate for Advertising last year was at the slowest pace in six years. Total spending was up 3 percent, but nix the political spending and Winter Olympics, it shrinks to just 1.6 percent, according to Magna Global. That's the slowest yearly growth rate since 2008, reports Media Life. More...

The year started off with a strong start, but lagged in later quarters. According to Magna, traditional media is struggling and it's gone beyond print and is now impacting TV. Traditional media was off 3.4 percent. Digital media is seeing higher growth rates in 2015, forecast at 19.1 percent, total ad spending will be up 4.1 percent.
